Product Description
Chicstab 597B is an advanced liquid antioxidant designed to effectively prevent polymer yellowing in applications such as two-component polyurethane coatings, polyurethane flexible foam, and polyurethane thermoplastic elastomers. It safeguards polyurethane products from degradation during processing, as well as from light and environmental changes. Typical applications include shoe materials, automotive interior parts (e.g., steering wheels, window sealants), and furniture components like chair backs and armrests.
Chicstab 597B integrates seamlessly into aromatic or aliphatic polyurethane systems for various processes such as injection molding, foaming, and coating. It is suitable for use in natural and colored materials, ensuring light-aging resistance and color stability. During the polyol phase, it prevents additive precipitation even at low temperatures and serves to prevent core burning in polyurethane soft foam.

Light yellow crystalline powder, soluble in acetone, benzene, chloroform, ethyl acetate, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in water.

Application areas encompass polyurethane applications like RIM polyurethane, TPU, artificial leather, and cast polyurethane. It is also applicable in sealants, adhesives, waterproofing polyurethanes, flooring coatings, and monolithic foams based on specific customer needs.
Guideline for use
Recommended dosage ranges from 0.2% to 1.0%, tailored to the specific requirements of each application.
