Product Description

Chicstab 3318B is a liquid composite hindered phenol antioxidant with over 99% activity. Specifically formulated for the production of high-resilience polyether, elastomers, and POP in polyether/polyester polyols, it effectively prevents the formation of peroxides in polyols during storage, thereby mitigating core burning and yellowing during polyether foaming processes. Recognized for its exceptional anti-yellowing capabilities, this product is particularly well-suited for applications requiring amine-free environmental protection standards.

It combines outstanding antioxidant properties with the convenience of pumpable liquid additives. With its low volatility and excellent compatibility, it finds optimal use in polyurethane forced air cooling processes. This feature effectively prevents fogging on automotive surfaces and staining of textiles, such as furniture mattresses, sofas, and carpets. Its low volatility and liquid form render it particularly suitable for various manufacturing and processing methods, including single liquid, emulsion, suspension, solution, or melt polymer applications. Additionally, it demonstrates resilience against hydrolysis at both room and high temperatures, enabling its application before, during, and after polymerization.

Guideline for use

The typical recommended dosage ranges between 0.07% and 0.5%, with a maximum limit of 1%. It can be conveniently added via pump or injection for efficient mixing. This product readily emulsifies and can be dissolved, dispersed, or maintained in a pure liquid state during processing. Enhanced stability can be achieved by combining with synergistic stabilizers (such as sulfides, hydroxylamines, and lactones) and hindered amine light stabilizers (including UV absorbers and hindered amines).
