Chicstab 405
Product Description
CAS NO. 10081-67-1
This product stands out as one of the few non-toxic, odorless, and light-colored antioxidants within the amine antioxidants category. Its high molecular weight and low volatility contribute to significantly better antioxidant durability compared to phenolic antioxidants like SP, 1010, and BHT (264), positioning it as an ideal substitute. Furthermore, it exhibits a strong synergistic effect with sulfur-containing antioxidants. Despite being a non-polluting antioxidant, slight color changes may occur under prolonged exposure to sunlight and air, though migration does not occur.
Extensively utilized in various applications including elastomers, plastic masterbatches such as PE, PP, and PVC, it serves as a crucial antioxidant for polyurethane foam plastics, rubber wires, cables, food packaging materials, and adhesives. Notably, it excels in neoprene colored cable sheaths, offering remarkable heat resistance, light resistance, and aging resistance. It also functions effectively as a light-resistant anti-aging antioxidant in polyether and its foamed plastics, and can be utilized as an antioxidant in lubricating oil.
Typically used at a ratio of 1-3 parts in general rubber and plastic applications, it disperses easily within rubber compounds without significantly altering vulcanization characteristics
