Chicstab L115 is a thioether-type hindered phenolic antioxidant.  It appears as a white crystalline powder, odorless, and with low toxicity. It finds extensive application in providing thermal oxygen aging protection to various lubricating greases.It can be effectively combined with other antioxidants, such as alkylated diphenylamine, dioctyldiphenylamine (L01), or other phenolic antioxidants, as well as metal deactivators, among others. Such combinations serve to further enhance product performance, particularly under high temperature conditions.

Chicstab L115 serves as an antioxidant and peroxide decomposing agent, offering multifunctional activity. It surpasses traditional phenolic antioxidants in thermal stability and has the capability to elevate the flash point of synthetic ester oils. With its commendable oil solubility and compatibility with various functional additives, particularly when paired with phenolic ester antioxidants, it ensures optimal performance. Even under high temperatures, it retains its potent antioxidation properties.

Application

This product finds widespread application across various industries, including the manufacturing of heat transfer oils, high-quality internal combustion engine oils, turbine oils, hydraulic oils, gas turbine oils, as well as various greases and fuel oils. Specifically, it is extensively utilized in aviation lubricating oils and air compressor oils, meeting stringent requirements for oxidation and corrosion resistance under ultra-high temperature conditions.

Moreover, it is suitable for use in lubricants that may encounter food contact, showcasing exceptional performance in CIGRE tests.

Guideline for use

Synthetic engine oil: 0.1-0.5%                                      Air compressor oil: 0.15-0.5%

High temperature chain and bearing oil: 0.2-1.0%       Gas turbine oil: 0.1-0.5%

Industrial gear oil: 0.2-0.5%                                         Grease: 0.1-0.5%

Package

It is packaged in 25kg paper-plastic bags or cardboard drums lined with plastic bags.

Shelf life

24 months from the date of production under unopened original packaging.

Storage

Stored in a cool and well-ventilated environment.
